Discover the San Isidro Labrador Educational System

We create a bright future

At Sistema Educativo San Isidro Labrador we want our students to ask profound questions, explore disciplinary boundaries, and confront conventional ideas of thought.

The San Isidro Labrador Educational System had its origin in 1994 with the opening of the Los Patitos Kindergarten, this institution was the first private and bilingual educational center in San Isidro de Heredia, the community where it is located. In 1996 the San Isidro Labrador Bilingual School was started, with a First grade group made up of children who had graduated from preschool at the Los Patitos Kindergarten. Both institutions obtained the recognition of the Ministry of Education in 1997 under decree 25900-MEP published in La Gaceta on April 9 of that year.

For greater administrative ease, the public limited company Sistema Educativo San Isidro Labrador was created, which is in charge of managing the affairs of both institutions, formally changing the name in May 1998.

The San Isidro Labrador Educational System offers its own curriculum, in which the basic educational process is carried out in Spanish (as suggested by the UNESCO), and the learning of English is progressive and systematic, all associated with the promotion of spirituality, values and the Costa Rican idiosyncrasy.

The institution is an active member of the National Association of Catholic Education (ANADEC) and a member of UNESCO as part of the Associated Schools Program.
